What measures will you take with the aim of improving the quality of education?

We consider that while the education policy ought to be determined by the Ministry of Education, the management of schools should remain the prerogative of municipal bodies.  Local governments should appoint school directors and determine the number of schools and their respective profiles in accordance with the needs and demands existing in their regions and municipalities.  At the same time, we think that the local governments ought to be given the chance to finance the studies of the students living in the local municipalities and ensure their future employment in the same municipalities.  Accordingly, these students shall have the professional backgrounds that will be most needed and appreciated in their respective local municipalities.
